Matt Reed

History

As a baby Matt was born in West Virginia. Shortly after, he was transported to K-town, TN where he grew up listening to Def Leppard and Eazy-E, longing to be a fighter pilot. He once told his 3rd grade teacher he found a new way to do subtraction. She said, "No, you can’t do it that way" so he walked out of class never to return. From that point forward Matt questioned everything. He knew he loved his NES and rolled deep on a 286 powered by GEOS and Prodigy.

In his later years he showed up to college and tried out for computer science but failed poorly. This was nothing more than a speed lump in his quest for creative enlightenment. This drive drove him all the way across campus to the Art building where he found his way in Graphic Design. Happily he graduated and moved to Nashville, married his awesome wife, and had the privilege of helping build a web design company from the spare bedroom of an apartment into a 12 person super-crew powerhouse. He now resides as a professional internetologist exploring the human potential of technology at redpepper.

Mastering the Art of conversations

Look, socialmedia™ is a two-way conversation between you and the people who like you on Facebook. Conversing in the socialmedia landscape is an art that cannot be taken lightly if you are to succeed in turning Facebook page likers into paying customers. Just because people like your page doesn’t mean they are going to give you money. You have to two-way converse with them and explain why they should give you money. That my friends is where the talent lies.

You would not be cool if you were at a party standing in the corner talking to yourself would you? No, you wouldn’t. What WOULD make you cool at a party is going up to each person and saying something like, “Hi friend, look at my iPhone, it’s neat isn’t it? You want one don’t you?”

See, that has so many good things going for it it’s crazy! You get to introduce yourself. It’s friendly. It triggers engagement with the question. It invokes a want for the iPhone. Now that’s a perfectly crafted two-way conversation starter.

The next thing that happens is the person you are talking to says how much they want that iPhone you were just telling them about and KRAAACKAAAAA!!! You now have a successful two-way conversation!!!

The next thing you know, your new friend is out buying themselves an iPhone. It’s so easy once you have mastered the art of conversations!!! Now take your new two-way conversation skills to your Facebook page and start watching the bank roll in!
